This workshop will cover techniques for growing 10 rare & uncommon edible plants that have worked for us in our climate.
This includes:
- Starting plants from seed or transplanting starts and cuttings
- Growing techniques
- Companion planting tips
- How and when to save seed and/or propagate the plant for many harvests to come
Plants we will cover:
- Achocha
- Chia
- Magentaspreen
- Miner’s lettuce
- New Zealand spinach
- Orach
- Quinoa
- Sesame
- Tree collards
- Yacon
Participants will be given their choice of 4 packets of seed from the 10 plants discussed (no more than 1 packet per type). We will also bring a small selection of plant starts for purchase (subject to availability).
