Parsnip, Halblange Weisse (Pastinaca sativa)

Biennial.
150 seeds per packet.

German for "Half-Long White" this Parsnip is shorter and squatter than many varieties which makes it easy to dig at harvest time. Sliced thin into "chips" and fried they are absolutely delicious. Roasted parsnip and squash is one of our go-to wintertime meals from the garden. So good! Unfortunately we forgot to take photos before eating them all....so that will have to wait 'til next year!
