Hands-down the most beautiful seeds in our catalog, this Turkish watermelon variety is a wonder to behold. Ornately decorated seeds appear as though they are hand carved, perfect for seed jewelry or art pieces. This watermelon is the red flesh type (there is also a yellow fleshed variety) and the fruit is delicious when ripe, albeit quite seedy. Don't be alarmed when you first cut into the watermelon and the seeds just look like regular black watermelon seeds. Pull them from the flesh, rinse them and let them dry and they will reveal their carved pattern in less than 12 hrs. A real marvel to watch, this would be perfect for someone with a time-lapse photography setup (and we want to see the video if you take one!)
