This bean was reportedly discovered in an Anasazi cave site dating to 1500 years ago. Supposedly those beans, safely tucked away in a ceramic pot sealed with pine pitch, magically germinated after 1500 years of storage.
While the legend is unconfirmed, they are strikingly beautiful beans that resemble painted horses and are an easy, breezy grow. Heavy yields from climbing vines and a delicious creamy texture make this bean worth growing in every garden.
