We are so excited to finally offer this amazing plant in our catalog! Flowers are a source of unreal natural blue dye, which is used to color foods and beverages. Very common in Thailand, almost unheard of being grown in Oregon.

We've been selecting and locally-adapting these seeds for 4 seasons in our greenhouse, and we are ready to share our progress with the community. Full disclosure, this is a tropical plant that loves heat and humidity, and will not do well unless you have a tropical-ish microclimate for it. This means greenhouse cultivation is preferred if you are wanting to have a decent yield. Flowers can be made fresh into a tea, or dried for later culinary explorations. If you have a greenhouse, this one is definitely worth a try.
