One of the greatest types of lettuce for season extension and/or overwintering in the PNW.

Sow it in August or early September, the medium-sized heads will hold in the garden straight through February or March before they bolt. This is a cross between butterhead and romaine, and is even able to withstand surprisingly low temps in the mid 20s for short periods of time.
