For one of the finest dye plants in the world, indigo is also remarkably easy to grow, and easy on the eyes. Its delightful pink flowers are beneficial to pollinators and nice to look at.

The leaves can be directly pounded into silk to print beautiful organic patterns, or processed into a dye bath. We are excited to learn more about extracting and using dyes from this plant in 2023!
