Bean, Pole Dry (Succotash)

Annual. Phaseolus vulgaris. 25 seeds per packet. 

Vine-style habit, growing up to 10 feet tall.

This rare bean originates from the Narragansett tribe of what is now Rhode Island and is believed to be the original bean used to make succotash, a bean and corn dish, served at the first Thanksgiving. The dried beans closely resemble kernels of corn, hence the name! 

Harvest when pods are dry before fall rains
